Apartment in Florence Historical Centre

Maison Orange can be booked with several different solutions. Street View is a classic double room with bathroom and kitchen. Suite offers the tranquillity of an internal double room with living room, bathroom and kitchen, while a third one sees the options above joined to form a two bedrooms, two bathrooms apartment. Please note that nothing is shared, if you book one option, nobody can book the others.

The Property

The bedrooms are both equipped with a 160cm wide double bed. The bathrooms are both equipped with showers, one is large, the other is huge enough to contain two people at the same time.

All windows have double glazing to maximize isolation and shutters in case you prefer to block out lights completely.

The apartment has high ceilings and is equipped with air conditioning (during summer) and heating (from November to mid April, as per local regulations).

In addition to this, you will have full access to the kitchen and the dining room. The apartment is located on the first floor, just 24 steps up from the street level. This building dates back to 16th century, so no, it doesn't have an elevator. :)

We are in the heart of Florence, therefore you can literally walk anywhere and we advise you to do so.

The historical centre of Florence is filled with tiny one way streets and pedestrians areas, so it's easy to walk, while driving around the city is not for everybody.

Moreover, parking facilities start at a minimum of 25 Euro per day. For such reasons, we believe that it's better to NOT have a car while in Florence. In fact, we do not have one... :)

Should you decide to come by car, just know that we have an agreement with a nearby garage.

The neighborhood

The apartment is located in the very heart of Florence. The area is filled with nice restaurants, trattorias, gelaterias and many other kinds of eateries... When you have all those options at your doorstep, it is very difficult to not go out and taste as much as possible, even for us...

The Palazzo Vecchio is exactly in front of your window and is home to the famous Salone dei Cinquecento, which is supposed to be the location where the Leonardo Da Vinci's painting, "Battle of Anghiari", should be hidden.
On top of the Palazzo Vecchio you find the Torre di Arnolfo, which can now be visited and offers spectacular views of Florence and its surroundings.

Street View Bedroom is right in front of Palazzo Vecchio side entrance, which was added during the last expansion of the building. Above the entrance there is a great Medici coat of arms and the words "Cosmvs Medices Floren Dux MDL", basically you will be living in front of an historical building that is over 700 years old.
